Having the opportunity to Work with Russians from Volgragrad, they have offered to teach me Russian, I accepted the gracious offer and have so far had two lessons. I am gaining the impression, as is the case with some German people I know, that they are people of a grand culture and human heart and spirit, yet the stereotype American cousins are shallow and empty styrofoaminoids, while I fit the moany old brit mould to a T.

I doubt that the philosophies of the Druids are really all that far removed from your beliefs. You just have not been told the truth about them.
BTW Stonehenge was not built by Druids though they probably used it. It predates the first arrival of "Celtic" culture in Britain by about 1000 years.

My Authorsden colleague Nell Gavin, a Texan, one told me that while she was spending a lot of time at Hever Castle, researching a novel on Anne Boleyn, in the grounds one day she was accosted by a fellow America, a tourist, who could not understand why anybody would build such a beautiful tourist attraction directly under a flight path.

I'm not a culture snob, but in many ways, I value diversity of life and so on. You do well to show the synthetic nature of some Americans with no culture other than a fake one of espousing and promoting "Democracy" [sic] around the world.
